Recruitment
How
does the application process work? Each class is composed of approximately 30 participants who are selected from a pool of nominees submitted by members of the Board of Directors, alumni, current class members, businesses and community groups. Leadership Hillsborough makes every effort to ensure that each class has representatives from all areas of the County, and strives for diversity in occupation, ethnicity, race, age and gender.
The Recruitment Committee evaluates the candidate applications and makes
recommendations to members of the Board of Directors, who vote to approve
incoming class members.
The
Cost
The
fee includes luncheons, receptions, retreats, transportation, graduation and
miscellaneous costs. Frequently, the participant's employee pays this fee as an
investment in professional development and community networking. A three-payment
installment option is also available, and scholarship applications are also
considered.
